"This large family home is perfect for ... a large family! Upstairs there are three big bedrooms with two double and two single beds - all very comfortable. Downstairs, there's a spacious open-plan kitchen with a generous dining table. It's stocked in a slightly haphazard way (think holiday-house hand-me-downs) but rummage around and you'll probably find what you need. There's a well-equipped laundry room (which we didn't use) and a big private walled garden out back, safe for children, with a six-seater garden table. (The climbing roses were spectacular when we visited!) And the hosts welcomed us with a delicious home-baked cake - much appreciated :)"

"In my (long) experience of using Booking.com, I have never before been asked to pay extra for any towels to be provided; initially I was also asked to pay extra if we wanted bedding. (In the end the beds were made up for us, and we used our own towels.) That oddity aside, the only real reservation about this property is related to its location: given it's in a VERY small village with nothing but one (nice!) cafe/restaurant/bar, it's essential you have your own transport. (There IS ample off-street parking.) When our rental car broke down, we discovered it's nearly impossible to get an uber or taxi (or bus, even) to take you anywhere. We were eventually rescued only thanks to the enormous kindness of the woman running the aforementioned Au Bon Coin cafe, who piled us into her car the minute she heard about our plight and drove us all the way to our repaired car in Nemours - for which we will always be grateful!"
